MODBAS Overview

Model-based software engineering (MBE) is a success story. Over 70% of embedded control software in the automotive industries are being developed by means of MATLAB®/Simulink®, ASCET®, or comparable toolchains. By MBE development costs are reduced by about 25% compared to conventional embedded software development. Without MBE the innovations in the last 15 years and the complexity of vehicles systems would have not been achieved.
